The Courier Chronicles

The Courier Chronicles is an incomplete game I worked on from February to May of 2022. The goals of the project were twofold: (1) to produce a game set in the Soil Texture Compass universe; and (2) to do so using Microsoft Powerpoint^® as the game engine. Since anyone who would want to do either of these things would be sensibly considered insane, the double insanity was codenamed "Project Cthulhu".

I won't delve too deeply into what the Soil Texture Compass universe is here, because it's a rabbithole filled with rabbitholes. Instead, I'll just explain it as a fandom based on using the USDA Soil Texture Triangle Chart as a foundation for worldbuilding. Anyhow, this game takes place shortly before the onset of the Third Clayistria-Clayistan War. You play the character of a Clayistani royal courier, and your job is to deliver letters between the capitals of the kingdoms. To do so, you may end up having to take unconventional delivery routes, navigate tense royal politics, and be careful not to fall off cliffs.

Originally, three chapters were planned, but only one chapter actually got made, to 99% completion. I have no intentions of completing the game, but I felt that it was worth publishing in its incomplete state.
